Before coming to the bar in 2009, Peter spent 18 years working as a registered nurse in a variety of clinical settings including intensive care, coronary care, accident and emergency and psychiatry.
He qualified as solicitor in 1999 in NSW.
His principal area of practice is medical negligence which requires an understanding of anatomy and physiology , medicine, biochemistry, pharmacology, treatments and clinical protocols and knowledge of the law, particularly the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW).
He brings a wealth of knowledge and insight into this complex area of litigation and uses that experience to provide plaintiffs with timely and effective advice.
He has extensive experience in mediations, negotiations and dispute resolution to the benefit of clients.
He has lectured in medical malpractice, developed a law course for nursing students in Queensland and presented papers for the NSW College of Law.
Over the course of his career he has published numerous articles on medical negligence issues and spoken at conferences.
